Many students caryy briefcases that are too heavy.

The average weight of a backpack of Belgian students is 15% of their body weight. That is alot more than the norm of 10%; this scientific norm declares that a backpack may weigh maximum 3kg for a person weighing 30kg.

If you exceed the norm of 10% then the position of your back starts deviating from its optimal position and you start to walk differently. As a result you will be tired much quicker en you can start to develop backpain, now or at a later age.
