While dish setup don’t rely on a compass, its accuracy is limited.☝ This app allows you to create a landmark without a compass and manual calculation of magnetic azimuth.

Comments on Satfinder (Dish Pointer) for Android

★★★★★ I am frist satelite dish worker and Android this app frist and best 100% live communication satelite apps thank you software engineer

★★★★★ Used for alignment after high winds. Simple and it works. Google Maps overhead photo to show you exactly where to point. Quick Google search to find the name of the satellite I wanted (Astra 2e for sky), get dish close by "eye", then have someone shouting the signal strength numbers while you make minor (millimeter) adjustments.

★★★★★ Found Astra 2e on my first go. Was expecting coordinates to follow, instead I got a line on Google Satellite. So absurdly simple to use the neighbor's roofs to line it up. I now have Freesat with excellent signal. Was not expecting it to be this easy. 10/10

★★☆☆☆ This app keeps showing my location on Google Maps. It supposed to show the location of the satellite am I searching for, right? 😂

★★☆☆☆ For the USA customers, HughesNet, and Echostar 19 are essential, but missing. Otherwise, it works just like all the other apps, nothing special. A superb app would guide through dish installation in a step-by-step process.
