Description
Savorist is your personal kitchen companion for capturing every spontaneous recipe experiment and flavor tweak. The app is built around a charming wooden recipe card box that lives on your screen, making each logged creation feel like a keepsake you can return to again and again. From the Dashboard, you get an instant snapshot of your progress through two tiny glass spice jars resting on the box lid: one displays your total concoctions this week, while the other holds your average taste rating beside a hand-drawn gold star. Peeking out from beneath the lid, you will see your three most recent recipe cards, each showing the title and a small sepia flavor badge. The four metal divider tabs at the bottom let you move gracefully between Dashboard, Concoctions, Capture, and History. In the Concoctions tab, every dish you have dreamed up appears as an aged cream recipe card with a flowing blue handwritten title, a gold star stamp in the corner for your rating, and a subtle flavor tag. You can search the entire collection by title or flavor text, sort cards by rating or date, and tap any card to update your notes or adjust your star rating. The Capture tab presents a minimal, ink-friendly form where you simply name your concoction, describe its flavor profile like “sweet & spicy” or “umami tang,” slide the rating from one to five stars, and add quick thoughts. Tapping the fountain pen nib button triggers a delightful ink-flow animation that writes your new title onto a blank card, which then slides into the box with a soft paper rustle. Everything you create is stored safely on your device using local storage, so your entire flavor journal stays private and accessible even without an internet connection. The History tab provides a reverse-chronological timeline with relative dates like “three days ago,” giving you a condensed summary of past experiments at a glance. Whether you are a home cook riffing on a weeknight dinner, a culinary student documenting sensory tweaks, or a foodie treating the kitchen as a playground, Savorist turns casual improvisation into a growing library of personal taste wisdom. There are no accounts to manage and no data leaves your phone, which keeps your creative process focused purely on the joy of cooking. By storing full flavor profiles, star ratings, and freeform notes for every concoction, the app helps you remember what worked, what to try next, and how your palate evolves over time. The warm, tactile paper-and-wood design makes logging feel like pulling out a well-loved recipe box, inviting you to build a permanent, beautiful record of your most inspired culinary moments.
