Did you ever wonder what information your driver’s licence hold? With Scannr, you can quickly get all the information from a driver’s licence. It’s easy to use and integrate into your existing system!
Scannr uses your camera for scanning the barcode on the back of a US driver’s license. By using BlinkID, a technology used in banking applications, information from the barcode is deciphered and turned into a human-readable form.
WHAT IS BOUNCER MODE?
The app offers the so-called bouncer mode – the ability to set the age limit and filter people accordingly. If the person is above the age limit, the scanned data is shown on the green background. If not, the background is red. It can also detect expired licenses.
IS THE DATA LOGGED?
Data logging can be switched on or off, depending on your preferences and/or state law. With logging turned on, Scannr can turn recorded data into informative charts. Charts can be further refined by selecting the start and end date.
WHICH DATA IS STORED?
Only aggregated gender and age data. Everything else is ignored. The scanned data never leaves your mobile phone, unless you configure Scannr to send data to a custom URL.
IS SCANNR FREE?
You can download the app for free and take a limited number of scans. If you find it useful enough, there’s an option of buying an unlimited-scans license for a time period.
HOW DO I INTEGRATE SCANNR INTO MY SYSTEM?
In settings, you can set Scannr up to send the scanned data to a URL of your choosing so you can save the data for later if you have a need to do so.

While I like the app, I'm still trying to determine its purpose. Who it is geared to? You have a bouncer mode. You say it is not to detect a valid ID/driver's license or whether it is real or fake. Can't the information be obtained directly from the front? Or is it geared towards HR personnel and saving them from having to enter the data?

This is great will read barcode for any state driver's license or ID, I don't understand what the negative reviews are about, first 20 scans are free you should obviously be paying for an app like this if you're going to be using it on a daily basis

This app does what is supposed to with such ease! There is nothing difficult about it! Certainly helped me avoid costly fines for not checking IDs. Going forward, maybe a feature that can flag duplicates? So if the same code is scanned more than once in 24 hours no one could just change a pic...IDK something like that.

I've been trying to register an account, and it just keeps saying "device already taken." I've never once downloaded or tried using this app ever before and certainly not on this device! Very frustrating!

Does this app work? I just have installed, created account, logged in. Now as soon as open app it opens up camera, shows 20 scans left. Before paying, I want to show this works Once app is opened, it shows camesa, but there is no button to scan/ continue.

Fake ID still show fake info. This does not help prevent fakes.

DO NOT USE THIS APP TO CHECK ID'S!!!! I work in a bar and caught a fake ID. I scanned it using this app, and the app said that it was a valid ID. This app doesn't actually verify ID's. It just scans the barcode and goes off that information
