Description
Scientific Notation is the ultimate app for mastering one of the most important tools in mathematics and science: scientific notation. Whether you're a high school student, a college learner, or simply someone looking to brush up on the basics, this app guides you from the fundamentals all the way to advanced practice — clearly, visually, and engagingly.
📚 Clear, structured theory
Learn what scientific notation is, how exponent rules work, and the different ways to write it: standard form, E notation, use in Excel and spreadsheets, or in programming.
💡 Real-world examples
Discover how scientific notation is used in everyday contexts: astronomical distances, cellular dimensions, and global economic figures.
🎯 Interactive practice with three modes
Conversion: convert decimal numbers to scientific notation and back. Ordering: sort numbers from smallest to largest to reinforce your understanding of magnitudes. Operations: solve multiplications, divisions, additions, and subtractions directly in scientific notation.
🧮 Built-in scientific calculator
Perform calculations with trigonometric functions, logarithms, roots, powers, and constants like π and e. Results are automatically displayed in scientific notation.
🔄 Notation converter
Instantly convert any decimal number to scientific notation, or enter a coefficient and exponent to get its decimal value. Includes non-standard coefficient detection with automatic normalization.

Scientific notation is one of the main reason I fail physics and math exam. I get the answers to the exponent, but I fail in integrals. Thanks to this app, it has certainly been of great help☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

This calculator is absolutely awesome!!!!! This helped me with my 8th grade IXL. Thank you so, so much. I tryed using a Google scientific notation calculator, but it was a don't and brought my grade down but with this calculator I've brought it back up. I'm in the 8th grade and passing is going to be hard unless I try and my math teacher didn't teach us how to do these problems on paper so this helps a lot. Again thank you so, so much. I would recommend this app to everyone. Very good use of my time.

The worste app I have ever used for math. It doesn't work properly and is very outdated. I could personally make a better app in my tech class at my college. DO NOT INSTALL!!!
