It is having very limited applets did I expect more from consumer physics

We have been using these devices for about 1 year now for testing dry matter percentage in feeds on dairy farms. It has become a mission-critical tool used daily for many of our customers and for our nutrition team. What most of these reviewers don't seem to understand is that you need comparison data collected before it will do anything for you. The Forage Feed and Corn on the cob applets we use are very developed and make this into an invaluable tool. Without that, it's just a fancy camera....

Great start but needs way more applets to scan certain more useful things. I was hoping to be able to scan pretty much anything and be able to identify at least what type of material it is. Database needs to grow and be open source.

The device is a scam it does nothing even close to what was promised by the team. The scanner is barely functional and the data passed across to the app is useless. Notice their team are only responding to positive reviews and ignoring any negative reviews from kick star backers that helped them fund the development. Stay clear of this device and the app it's a scam

Not sure what went wrong, but this totally featureless software makes SCiO device a $200 useless toy. It was presented as something that analyzes material for substances it consists of. And there is no such feature in the end. Am I missing something? I would ask for my money back, but I guess it's not an option for Kickstarter backer.
