Would be perfect if it can auto-detect when screen/os is in hdr mode and has a separate brightness slider/control for that

Great app. Fixed basically all my eye strain issues in my Pixel phone. One update I would like it see is the possibility of dimming the screen more in a dark room. It feels too bright if I'm laying in bed or something.

Using on Pixel 8, and it does truly eliminate PWM flicker. That said, it's a software solution to a hardware issue, so it's not perfect. These are the biggest problems for me: 1. Colors are extremely washed out in "Natural" color mode, so you have to switch to "Dynamic". Probably a system limitation. 2. Quick Setting tile doesn't accurately change status to reflect current state. 3. Uses unnecessary "INTERNET" permission which is concerning for a simple offline app with accessibility permission.

It works to reduce burn in and make it easier for the eyes, but sadly on lower brightness the in display fingerprint scanner can't scan. I would enable this every time if that was solved.

If your phone has awful PWM strobing at lower brightness like mine does, and you care for your eyes, this app is a must.

Because when I uninstall this app, the safe mode is still on, and I can't turn it off. Now I still have the safe mode on

Screen goes full brightness when orientation changes or during certain transitions. Every time you use it you have to keep granting permissions in settings through lengthy menus. Ad free I guess...

Not a screen dimmer, just an app to replace your phone's built-in brightness adjuster EditToReply: how? I wanted my screen dimmed below hardware limits, so artificially. Your app only adjusts the hardware part. What is different from the phone's built in option? Edit2:Then the app name is very misleading. But I'll remove one part of the review then and up the rating to 2 for a legit reply that isn't AI.

Brightness Goes Back Up Again and Again Whenever I lower the brightness it automatically goes back to 100% brightness. Stupid app, stupid developers inexperienced people.
