Display Over Other Apps
The privacy shield uses the Display over other apps permission to place the privacy overlay above other apps. This permission is required for the core screen overlay functionality.

The overlay is designed for visual privacy. It does not replace your device's lock screen, authentication, encryption, or other security features.
