You can just start recording your own voice straight away. Or you can import your theater or movie script* or simply type in your lines. Script Rehearser will read them back to you whenever you want using its customizable options to prompt you. Optimize how you rehearse as you progress.

‡ Note that for a PDF file to import it must contain the text of the script, not just pictures of the text. Some PDFs contain scanned images of the text rather than the text itself, and the app can't import these files as it needs the actual text to work with.

I've recommended this to dozens of actor friends. A hugely helpful tool for learning lines, especially when you're on the go: gym, car, grocery store.... It takes a minute to discover all the various playback settings (e.g., playing the script straight through, pausing before your line, repeating your line, pausing for you to say your line from memory without playing it) but they're each super useful for advancing you through different stages of knowing the script. The popup Tips are useful!

Would not recommend. If you are trying to use this to help with Matilda Jr, then you are out of luck. Reformatting the few scripts that work is a pain.

It's a bit clunky, especially when adding a script. It's insane that it's not at least possible to choose a male or female voice without paying, and somehow it's very good at selecting female voices for male characters and vice versa. Some features don't work, such as deleting lines. The help feature doesn't work either. This is at best a beta version.

From amazing to average because of Bluetooth headphones omitting to speak first three words of my role - using Google Pixel 9 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Galaxy Buds 3 Pros don't have any issues with any other software. I added an extra star since the developer is in contact with me trying to solve the issue
