WOW, Absolutely Amazing! I use a pre-paid phone without a data plan (i.e. no internet connectivity) and was favorably surprised that once the GPS satellites were found my location showed up on a map – not just providing coordinate information. Sharing via SMS (or Tweeter, FB, etc) provides a location link for the recipient to view on Google Maps and of course one can add text at the top of the message. (Next I’ll have to try taking a picture of my location and attaching it to the message). The recipient of course needs Internet access for viewing Google Maps and have ‘location services’ enabled. The ads on the bottom of the screen are easily eliminated by going to menu>donate and paying US$0.99 – then making sure to invoke the Pro version. In addition to helping friends find you it is also a great way to report location in case of an emergency.
