Description

You open a spreadsheet somebody else built, click a cell, and the formula bar fills with something you would need ten minutes and three browser tabs to understand. SheetDecode reads it back to you in seconds.

READ ANY FORMULA
Paste a formula and SheetDecode breaks it into the order it actually runs in, naming what every argument is for — which range is being searched, which is being added, which value is the fallback. Nested functions become an indented outline instead of a wall of brackets.

CATCH THE TRAPS
Some mistakes never show an error, they just return the wrong number. A lookup left on approximate match. Criteria missing its quotation marks. The two ranges of SUMIF in the wrong order. SheetDecode flags the traps that the formula's shape is prone to, before they cost you.

FIX THE RED ERRORS
#REF!, #VALUE!, #N/A, #DIV/0!, #NAME?, #NUM!, #NULL! and #SPILL! — each one explained in plain language, with the causes worth checking first and the fix for every cause. When you have a formula loaded, the errors it tends to produce float to the top.
