Shift Calendar: Commute Alerts

Your shift alarm knows the traffic. BoardSpy is a shift calendar, a shared family calendar and a commute traffic alert app in one. Set your work rotation once, share it with family, and BoardSpy checks live traffic before every shift and every meeting so you know exactly when to leave.

SHIFT CALENDAR FOR NURSES AND SHIFT WORKERS

Set your rotation once and BoardSpy fills your shift calendar for the next 120 days. 4 on 3 off, 2-2-3, 2 days 2 nights 4 off, 12-hour shifts, night shifts: each shift type gets its own name, start, end and color. Overnight shifts are handled correctly, even across time zones. Built for nurses, healthcare workers, police, firefighters, EMTs, factory, warehouse, airline, security and hospitality shift work.

A LEAVE-BY ALARM FOR EVERY SHIFT

Other shift apps show your shift. BoardSpy also gets you there on time. Every shift gets an alarm with your own lead time, real alarm sounds and snooze, and BoardSpy checks live traffic on your commute so it rings when you actually need to leave.

SHARED FAMILY CALENDAR AND TEAM ROSTER

Share your shift schedule with your partner, family or coworkers. Invite people by link or code as owner, editor or viewer, or join anyone's calendar or roster. Everyone sees who is working, who is home and who is picking up the kids, and members get a notification when the schedule changes. Each person's shifts can only be edited by them. Shared day checklists keep to-dos with priorities and reminders on the right date.

A CALENDAR FOR FRIENDS

Share your schedule with friends and see who's free and who's busy before you make plans. Join a friend's calendar or a group roster with a link or code.

GOOGLE CALENDAR AND PHONE CALENDAR

Copy your Google Calendar events into a shared family calendar as "Busy" (private by default) or with full detail. BoardSpy only reads your Google Calendar and never writes to it. Pro can export your shifts to your phone calendar.

TRAFFIC ALERTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE

BoardSpy runs a live traffic check on your saved commute route ahead of departure and pushes the result. "Traffic is clear, leave at 8:22." Or: "Leave 15 minutes early, the highway is backed up." You set the delay threshold, so quiet mornings stay quiet.

TIME TO LEAVE FOR EVERY MEETING

Connect your calendar and for every event with a location BoardSpy works out the drive time, watches live traffic, and sends a calendar alert when you need to leave. The alarm keeps ringing until you tap Stop or Snooze.

DETOURS, ROAD CLOSURES AND ROUTE WEATHER

Every check compares your usual route with live alternatives. Congestion, road closures, accidents, roadwork and weather on the roads you actually drive, in one morning brief.

ASK SCOUT, YOUR VOICE COMMUTE ASSISTANT

"Is my route clear?" "How long to the office?" Speak or type, and Scout answers out loud while you get ready.
