Description by Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan (from Google Play)

The Shikshapatri is a sacred scripture authored by Lord Shree Swaminarayan, the founder of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. It is a compact yet powerful spiritual guide consisting of 212 Sanskrit verses that outline the ideal way of living a moral, disciplined, and devotional life.

This app brings the eternal wisdom of the Shikshapatri into your hands – simple to read, easy to understand, and deeply transformative.

The word Shikshapatri means “Epistle of Instructions.” It was written in 1826 CE in Vadtal, Gujarat, by Lord Swaminarayan Himself to provide His devotees – saints and householders alike – with clear, practical, and spiritual guidance.

The Shikshapatri is not just for followers of the Swaminarayan faith but is universally applicable to anyone seeking peace, purpose, and salvation. Every verse is a step toward moksha (liberation) and spiritual upliftment.
