Comments on Shimeji: Play with Screen Pets for Android

★★★★★ Angel Luongo · Sep 23, 2026

Best Shinji app I found so far, you just need to download your own characters online, and in the app they give you the name of the site you can do that at. My one and only complaint is that the characters don't jump from side to side on the screen they just walk, climb, climb on the top, and do the special movements on the bottom, so pretty much everything, except of jumping from side to side. Another great thing about this app is that the adds aren't as overwhelming as most Shinji apps.

This is such a cute and cool app, especially bc u can make ur own pets, for example, I used a pic of my fish and the app made a really accurate pet, u can buy something but u don't need to, the pet is also behind the keyboard when u type which is also really good. This is prob the best screen pet app I ever used:)

Been using this app since 2020? Planned on using it again on this new phone but my gosh things have changed. For the worst. Things were simpler then, but I don't appreciate the limited character options and the AI feature.

HOLY AI DUDE-the reason why I posted one story is literally because they removed all the favorite characters that was somehow "copyright" and. The currency "mushrooms" is like IDK... I had tried out the game before like they removed the "copyright" characters ...man I miss two-time😔 anyway. THE CHARACTERS ARE LIKE SO EXPENSIVE ;_; ✨ inflation anyway. MAKE THE CHARACTERS CHEAPER >:C

Nooooo I've used it for years, and now it's just AI slop:(((
