Perfect replacement for an old app that no longer works on new phones. Works exactly as described and no frills or ads.

Generally works very well. Still... why do I have to reset the app to start-up every day after it should resume after 6am. Normally bells are off 10pm-6am but doesn't automatically resume after 6am needs to be restarted.

The reviews for this app made me worry that it wouldn't work, but apparently I'm one of the lucky ones somehow. I got it just as a novelty, to relive the days on a ship listening for the bells over the 1MC, and it does that just fine.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app at around 0740 it did not ring at 0800. I'm running a Samsung S20+ on android 13 and 1UI 5.1 For experimentation I also put the app on my Samsung Tab 6. With Android 12 and 1UI 4.1.1. It seems to work there. I'll monitor both devices throughout the day and report back with my findings.

I wanted it to work. But under setting, I can only see the top of set time Sunday services. I can't see the drop box. Only enough of the words to understand what they say about Sunday services. No box does not expand, not move. No setting for 24hr time. Frustration. I don't recommend this app, especially if you need to set known quiet time. You can only set taps to reveille. But be fair. Over the years there have been other ships bell apps. They didn't work either, and I had to delete.
