ShotGauge – Target Analysis

ShotGauge is an app for sport shooters to analyze training results at the range from a photo of an ISSF target: 25m / 50m Pistol (TS-2), 10m Air Pistol, 50m Rifle and 10m Air Rifle (dimensions per ISSF 6.3.4).

How it works:
1. Choose a target and a caliber (e.g. 9mm, .22LR, 4.5mm, 5.5mm, .308) and start a training session.
2. Scan the target with your phone's camera or import a photo from your gallery — the app detects the target outline and visible bullet holes using a machine-learning model that runs locally, on your phone.
3. Review and, if needed, correct the marked hits — move, delete, or manually add a point. The app tracks differences between consecutive series on the same target, matching new holes to previously recorded ones.
4. After you accept the result, see the series score and your training history.

Important notes on how it works:
- Bullet-hole detection is an AI suggestion that you always review and confirm yourself. The app does not make the final call on your score for you, and it does not guarantee flawless recognition — in difficult conditions (glare, low light, unusual angle) it may need manual correction.
- Scanning and analyzing a target work fully offline, on-device.
- You can zoom into the target photo to carefully verify difficult hits.
- Photos of accepted targets are kept locally by default, in the app's private folder — you can turn this off in settings and save a photo only with the "Save photo and accept" button.
- You can export and re-import a full backup of your data (ZIP), e.g. when switching phones.
- You may voluntarily choose to send target photos (with no personal data, name area blurred) to help improve the detection model — this is optional, requires your explicit consent, and can be withdrawn. Details in the privacy policy.

Free version (Basic):
- One ISSF target of your choice with no limit: scanning, the model, corrections, ISSF scoring, history and ZIP backup.
- Once a month, one trial training on any other target.
- You can change your chosen target: freely during the first 7 days, then once every 30 days.
- A preview of Statistics and the glossary.

ShotGauge Pro (optional subscription):
- All targets with no limits: ISSF 25m / 50m Pistol (TS-2), 10m Air Pistol, 50m Rifle, 10m Air Rifle.
- Full Statistics: charts of series and sessions over time, date range and filters, best series, comparison of two sessions or series.
- Group and point-of-impact metrics (MPI, extreme spread ES) in mm, MOA or mrad (MOA and mrad once you enter the distance), plus metric overlays on the target.
- CSV export and PDF reports for a session or a selected range - files are created on your phone and go wherever you save or send them.
- A result card (PNG image) to share, without the ShotGauge mark and without metadata.
The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play. The price, billing period and any offers (such as a free trial period) are shown by Google Play before you buy; you can cancel at any time in Google Play. Payments are handled only by Google Play - we do not receive your card details.

Who it's for:
For sport shooters, including junior air rifle and air pistol athletes, training at licensed ranges in line with applicable law and range rules. The app does not sell weapons or ammunition, does not facilitate acquiring them, and contains no instructions for manufacturing or modifying them — it is solely for analyzing the results of shots already fired legally, during training, on a paper target.

Privacy:
Your training data (photos, results, corrections, settings) is stored locally on your phone by default. The app requires no account or sign-in, contains no ads, and does not collect analytics or location data. Exporting and sharing results happens only on your initiative.
