Description
Chess, but all your army has gone over to the white side, leaving you with nothing but your royal shotgun and your wounded pride. Carried by your dark folly, you decide it's time to teach those white pieces to fear the Shotgun King.
Every turn, you may either move your king or shoot at enemy pieces, after what you'll need to move again to reload your shotgun. Avoid checkmate and kill the enemy king to complete the floor. After each floor, you may choose between two random combinations of one upgrade for you and one upgrade for the other side. Choose wisely and keep on winning floors and you just may get your kingdom back.
Runs may take ~20 minutes to complete. The game features 15 ranks of difficulty, unlockable cards, over 100 achievements to complete, an endless mode, and now a chase mode where you get continually assailed from all sides!

The chess accurate movement really blends well with the double barrel shotgun

Very fun, well-made game that executes well on the base concept. My only complaint is that there's no way to save progress on a run, and the game resets if you don't play for long enough. With save files it would be an easy 5 stars.

Finally on mobile I saw videos about this game and enjoyed watching but also got confused sometimes cause of the buff they took while playing like why would u not want an extra bullet instead of extra range yea range is cool if you got enough damage but if you take range as first you MUST take damage buff next which kinda is bad because they are a lot of different buff you can take, but the game is good overall I just kinda hate when people don't make sense while getting buffs in video games

The game is pretty fun, but it has some issues, mainly with the mobile experience: - text font and color can be hard to read on a phone screen - run cannot be saved (as far as I can see). For me, for a phone rogue-lite this is a dealbreaker. I play the game while waiting or on small downtime between activities, but losing all progress of a run because I couldn't play without a break makes me want to play something else instead

Great game but like others have said, the inability to save progress mid-run makes it unplayable. If you switch to another app, you have to start the run over. Literally the only thing that takes this from 5 stars to 1.

This game is genuinely painful experience, there are so few white cards that add pawns, filling the back row with minor and major pieces with no pawns to keep them from swarming you in the opening. There are so few black cards that are actually good, and very, VERY little synergy between the cards (unless blessed by RNG). And maybe worst of all, the amount of content doesn't justify the price... I have never refunded in my life, but there's a first time for everything I guess

I bought this thinking it could be a really fun spin on chess. It's not. Chess is really just a thematic backdrop to a game about studying and understanding a massive array of random power ups and how they will affect you. Most power ups just make things more complicated to track, so you have to go more and more slowly. I also absolutely will not get over the fact that the opposing king is allowed to put you in check; just makes no sense if you play chess and removes a lot of strategic interest.
