ShutterLight helps photographers and outdoor enthusiasts find the best light of the day: every day, for any location in the world.

What you get
• Precise times for morning and evening golden hour, blue hour, sunrise, sunset, solar noon, and astronomical night
• A live countdown to the next sun event, so you're never caught unprepared
• Photography Light Index — a score out of 10 that combines the current sun phase, cloud cover, wind, visibility, and precipitation to tell you how good the light really is right now
• Sun direction map showing exactly where the sun rises and sets from your chosen location
• Current weather conditions including temperature, cloud cover, humidity, wind speed, and visibility

7-Day Forecast
Plan multi-day shoots with the Forecast tab. See all sun events and a PLI score for each of the next seven days — so you can pick the best day before you commit to the drive.

Alarms & Notifications
Set custom alarms for any sun event — golden hour, blue hour, sunrise, or sunset — and choose whether you want an alert with sound or a silent notification. Configure how many minutes in advance you'd like to be notified.

AR Sun Path
Point your phone at the sky and watch the sun's arc overlaid live on your camera view. The AR Sun Path shows:
- The full path of the sun for the current day
- Your current position on the arc
- Marked windows for golden hour and blue hour
- Real-time azimuth and altitude readout
- A compass rose for orientation

Home Screen Widgets
Keep critical information visible without opening the app:
- Countdown widget (3×1) — Time until the next prime shooting window
- PLI widget (2×2) — Current light quality score with color coding
- Schedule widget (2×2) — Full day schedule of all sun events

Any location, any date
Use your device's GPS for automatic detection or search for any city in the world. Browse past and future dates to plan your shoots ahead of time.

Adaptive theme
The app's look shifts with the light — warm golden gradients during golden hour, deep blue tones at twilight, bright sky colours during the day, and a dark theme at night. Or lock it to your favourite look in settings.

Fully available in English and Dutch.

Recent changes:
A new Forecast tab gives you a 7-day shooting outlook at a glance. Each day shows all sun events (sunrise, golden hour, solar noon, sunset, and twilight phases) alongside a PLI score so you can compare shooting conditions across the coming days.

The location search screen has been redesigned for faster, cleaner results and an option is added to bookmark locations.
