Shuttle Royale

Can you win four badminton matches in a row on tired legs?

WHAT YOU GET
✓ Four knockout cups: Bronze at the Village Green Pavilion, Silver at Riverside Hall, Gold in the Grand Arena and the Royal Cup on the Palace Court
✓ Sixteen-player draws filled by noble houses such as Ashford, Blackwood, Kestrel and Montague, each with its own motto
✓ Four rounds per cup, from the Round of 16 to the Final; lose once and you are out
✓ Ties played first to 7, win by two
✓ A stamina flask that drains with every step and swing, and carries over from round to round
✓ Two Royal Tonics per cup to restore extra strength
✓ An illuminated bracket tree with your path picked out in gold
✓ A coat of arms to design with tinctures and charges, which also dye your tunic
✓ A Chronicle of every tie you have played and a trophy cabinet with twelve royal honours
✓ Simple controls: drag across the marble court, then Clear, Drop or Smash
✓ Offline play with no adverts, accounts or purchases, on phone and tablet

A word on tactics: smashes cost the most stamina, and a tired player runs slowly. You win back a quarter of your strength between ties, so a long, scrappy Round of 16 can leave you limping into the semi-final. Close out early rounds quickly, keep rallies short when you can, and save your tonics for the later stages. The Iron Lungs honour goes to anyone who wins a cup without drinking a single one.

FAQ

Q: What happens if I leave in the middle of a tie?
A: Your place in the cup is kept, and the tie restarts when you return.

Q: How do I open the next cup?
A: Win the one before it. Bronze leads to Silver, then Gold, then Royal.

Q: What are crowns for?
A: Heraldry. They are earned only in matches and spent at the herald's table on tinctures such as Azure, Gules and Or, and on charges from a Tower to a Flame.
