Description by Akvelon Inc.(from Google Play)
The Signal Finder application provides the opportunity to see the coverage map on the Android device, showing where the nearest towers are available, for the best cell phone reception, as well as the signal strength of the towers located. Your device will be online using the map of free Wi-Fi networks. The application will continue to run in the background and uses some crowd-service techniques to improve both the cellular and Wi-Fi coverage maps.

Cool app. Worked pretty good for me. Thanks Developer!

I live extremely remotely and rely heavily on 4G (when i can get it). this app allows me to point my high gain, directional, 4g modem towards what i hope is a tower belonging to my service provider. what would help me is an indicator (on the map, say in a contrasting colour) on the tower on which I'm currently registered. is this possible?

It used to work, but hasn't now in quite a long time. Uninstalling, as it no longer shows any information AT ALL anymore.
