This app and a directional antenna and receiver is all you need to find a hidden transmitter. Be sure to read some of the instructions on how to use the bearing key and adjust bearings to 1/10 of 1°

We just won the fox hunt! We just used this app for the transmitter hunt and won! The vectors were great! Everyone was impressed how our tool could show our vectors plotted on a live map. It would be nice to have a breadcrumb trail too with total mileage since the winner of our hunt is determined by distance only. Although we started in manual pointing mode we hope to use the compass mode next time.

I use SIGTRAP to plot compass bearings taken during radio 'fox' hunts. This app is not just the only viable option in the play store, but it works very well. Although I can find my prey by simply following the RF this app aids visualization of UHF reflections and speeds process by eliminating reflections from large buildings (reviewing sat imagery). It could be particularly useful when tracking down rogue transmitters from afar.

So much potential. The gps rotation feature works ok in wide open spaces but not in the city. Unfortunately, the manual rotater is not fine grain enough to make for small adjustments in the bearing line overlay. Additionally, maps are not available offline...so the app is useless if there is no data signal.
