Description

Safe distribution of keys among friends has never been easier: the Key4Friends app receives keys which the owner wishes to share with you from the MobileKey app.

The function is quickly explained: the owner of the door sends you an authorisation for one or more doors over the MobileKey web app. You can then open and close the doors concerned using the Key4Friends app.

Key4Friends is quick, easy, safe and free to install. You will only be asked for your email during registration. We will then send you a code by text message to check registration. No password is required thanks to the distinct connection between the SIM card and the email address.
Important: your smartphone needs to be connected to the Internet to open or close a door with the Key4Friends app. This means that there may be charges, depending on the contract with the operator. Don't worry, though – the amount of data sent is minimal.

SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH hopes you have fun sharing keys safely and securely.

Comments on SimonsVoss Key4Friends for Android

★★★★★ Jared Sebring · Jul 31, 2018

Had an issue with the SMS authentication, the Kimonos support team did a great job at resolving the issue with strong communication. App is easy and handy to give permissions for entry!

★☆☆☆☆ doug · Jun 9, 2020

It often detects Internet connection incorrectly leaving you locked out. Full of bugs and quite awful. Several people at my office had issues and after weeks and reports they were not fixed and the clear coding error in the app was not rectified. Not reliable by any stretch

★★☆☆☆ Kristian Barrett · Mar 3, 2020

The app often fails to open the lock. The requests are super slow, and it gets frustrating when you use it multiple times a day and just get locked out for a minute or two. Also, the interface is locked between requests which is also frustrating when you can see that it is failing.
