Comments on Simple text widget for Android

★★★★★ Orsolya Bukovics · Feb 3, 2026

Very nice for what it is, simple text widget, I use it constantly. Does not have many options, but what it does beautifully.

★★★★★ Stephen · Sep 6, 2025

Exactly what I wanted, my launcher is pretty much a custom widget, this app compliments that launcher very well.

★★★★☆ Lisa · Dec 24, 2024

Does what it says, only thing is I would've liked that it automatically scaled the size when making the widget smaller and an option to choose text focus left right or center

★★★★★ Jjai Elf Gemini The Fanged Faerie Q (Afrikan Space Elf) · Nov 9, 2024

Simple text widget has multiple fonts and colors. Tapping widget can be programmed to open various apps. It suits my needs. 👌🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

★☆☆☆☆ Robert · Sep 7, 2026

It has no formatting ability. I thought this was the original Simple Text Widget app that was excellent. But this appears to be a rip-off, using the same name, but none of the original features. And you cannot get a refund! Notice that all the rave reviews below are old. They were for the original app which was removed from the Play Store (due to not being updated). This app is junk.

★☆☆☆☆ Heran Bago · Sep 8, 2024

This is what happens when I pay for an app, and you keep asking me to rate it while trying to sell me other apps inside your app. This does what it says on the box, and I think it's worth the price of 1,50.

★☆☆☆☆ Nesho Argueta · Aug 21, 2025

Good app, but I can't add my already created text, when you add your widget, you create a new text, but you have no option to add an already created text you have in your library

★★☆☆☆ Otto Gustafson · Jan 5, 2026

Very limited in size and shape, on other hand, many goofy fonts but no simple business-like fonts

★★☆☆☆ Aaron Scholl · Apr 20, 2026

No text wrapping, and touch action setting doesn't work
