SimpleLogin is an open source solution to protect your email inbox. It allows you to create quickly a random email address (aka alias). All emails sent to an alias is forwarded to your personal email address.
You can use the alias when subscribing to a newsletter, signing up for a new account, giving your email to someone you don't trust. Not only an alias can receive emails, it can also send emails. An alias is a full-fledged email address.
Later if you can simply block or delete an alias if it's too spammy.
Why SimpleLogin?
When you give away your personal email online, there is a good chance that your email address would end up with a spammer or a hacker. SimpleLogin acts as a firewall for to protect your personal email inbox.

Best Anti Spam app, sadly I cannot write a message even as paid user with my alias. I have to use the original email I use to log in into this app. That's the only downside

AI WARNING: targeted spear-phishing now supercharged by malicious use of AI tools! PROTECT YOURSELF with this app. Each critical site & service you use can have It's own unique e-mail, all forwarded (for FREE) by Simple Login to yr 2 e-mail addresses. Use a general address like Gmail for routine use & an encrypted high-security address (e.g. ProtonMail or Tuta) for yr banking, etc. If you receive an email from your bank, and it's not addressed to your Simple Login address, IT'S FAKE! Do NOT REPLY.

Been using on desktop with no issues, it's also good for software testing a dummy user. Mobile app seems good so far. When sending a message via Proton, use one of the "Copy" options, instead of "Begin composing with" option. And as the how-to message states, make sure you are selecting the correct "from" address in Proton if you have multiple addresses

I purchased lifetime premium. My account was disabled without warning. They stated I violated terms of service("systems detected that your account has multiple aliases linked to a single platform, which are not allowed on our service"), and will not re-enable, and will not refund. No re-enable, but I could sign up for a new account("You can create a new Simple Login account, but please keep in mind that: Simple Login provides privacy protection, but is not a disposable email service").

Why does the mobile client not have a way to DELETE an alias?

It's a fairly dysfunctional app. You delete a forwarding address, and it still asks you to sign up to create one? I'm a Proton subscriber as well. I'm not paying for yet another Proton service especially as the base level doesn't function well.
