This is a very great app. I have always wanted an app that lets us use local storage and add a separate pass code that is not a device lock, which adds more privacy and security. Being able to import and export databases and setting passphrase for them is also a clever idea. As a WhatsApp user, it took me a bit of time to get used to SimpleX chat, but it's easy, maybe 5 to 10 minutes? Overall, it is recommended if you want a lot of privacy. The backups are being encrypted is great.

Perfect. Just need ability to force delete for everyone. Since now u can delete only for yourself chats. That seems not very secure if someone can force save messages and later usem them as proof sending from that account. IDK 😅. But overall very good app. Currently, most secure app

Not impressed they claim privacy but asking accept conditions and use their server on by default always, why not let the user choose? I want to use my server without accepting any data collection and don't trust them.

Not very secure if they store items' server side and subpoenas will get what travels through the server along with metadata. Yes it's more secure than fb messenger, but not as secure as teleguard and sessions. Be safe out there. Imagine the person wanting to talk with their friend but against the government and the government is able to see the messages and IP address and device information (albeit with a mask, but that isn't fully secure)
