It gets a 4-star rating from me simply because I truly appreciate the service. Finding products that I'm not allergic to is not easy, and it's really helpful. Plus customer service is awesome! I plan to subscribe for the annual plan soon and hope it supports the work and some improvements. A couple improvements I'd love to see are more robust search and filtering, also a way to contact support from within the app (i.e. without having to go to the website).

I love this app. It was recommended to me by my allergist. I just did allergen testing and discovered I have multiple allergies that are found in so many products. This app is user-friendly and very helpful. Both my allergist and I wish there was a free version with all the tools so that all patients could educate and advocate for themselves.

Priceless tool, worth every penny for a subscription. I can't shop without it. My worst allergies involve skin care/makeup products. My Dr. gave me access to another app, not available on android, I tried it on an iPhone and this one is just so much easier! Some of the best features require a subscription, and I'm FINE with it. Should have signed up immediately tbh. I truly can't describe how much Skin Safe has made a difference in my health. They're amazing at communicating also!

"When we create an entry for the product, it is based either on the label on that particular product or on the brand website listed ingredients. They are not obligated to keep the website entry up to date. This sometimes causes discrepancy between entries for the same product, that sometimes is different size as well. We encourage the customers to always check the labels of the products for the most up to date" So basically you have to do your own check for any product they mark safe.

I know this is still being worked on, but it takes so long just for the app to load passed the opening screen. I see the logo on a black screen for so long that I usually eventually say "Ugh, whatever. Forget it!" then put the product back. Even if it's a hard issue to be fixed, it still needs to be. When you actually get into the app however, it is helpful when the item is there. I scan products that I know I'm allergic to into the app alot just so it's easier for others to know.

Cannot be trusted! It rates products with known carcinogens (i.e. cause cancer), BHTs (endocrine disruptors), PEGs, petrolatum, and fragrances as 100% safe. When compared to other "toxic beauty product scanning apps," which rate the same products as toxic and very bad (10/100 score), this company rates them as 100% safe. No integrity! They have the nerve to charge you a subscription, and they are helping to keep you sick and at risk!
