Sky Explorer: Star Map & AR

Point your phone at the night sky and Sky Explorer shows you what you are looking at. This star map and astronomy app identifies stars, planets, constellations, the Moon and satellites in real time, so stargazing becomes easy for beginners and fun for everyone.

STAR MAP IN REAL TIME
Move your phone and the sky map follows you. Find the Sun, the Moon and every planet, recognise all 88 constellations with lines and artwork, and discover galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Tap any object to see its name, brightness, rise and set times and where to look.

AUGMENTED REALITY SKY VIEW
Turn on the camera to see constellations and planets drawn over the real sky. A simple way to learn the night sky from your backyard, a balcony or a dark field.

SATELLITE TRACKER: ISS AND STARLINK
Follow the International Space Station, the Chinese space station, Hubble and other bright satellites as they cross the sky. Starlink mode shows the whole Starlink constellation and which satellites you can see with the naked eye right now.

PLAN YOUR NIGHT
See what is visible tonight, when it gets dark and the current Moon phase. Travel in time to any date, preview the sky from another city and get ready for your next observation.

NIGHT MODE FOR STARGAZING
Red and green night modes protect your night vision while you observe. Adjust star labels, constellation art, the landscape and the display to match your sky.
