Sky View Art

Point your phone at the sky. viewSky names what you’re looking at — stars, constellations, planets, the Moon, galaxies and satellites — with no network and no account.

The sky is computed on your device from bundled catalogs and real astronomical theory. There is no cloud in the rendering path. Take it camping, abroad, or anywhere reception dies.

WHAT YOU GET
• Live AR overlay on the camera, driven by your phone’s motion sensors
• Constellation stick figures and drawn artwork pinned to the stars
• Planets and the Moon with live position, rise and set, plus quick facts
• Search 25,000+ stars, 88 constellations, hundreds of deep-sky objects and satellites
• Coming up: eclipses, conjunctions, meteor showers, Moon phases and seasons — solved for your location, not a fixed table
• Tap anything to identify it

VIEWSky PRO
Go deeper when you want to:
• Time travel — jump to any date or run the sky forward
• Daily sky paths for the Sun, Moon and planets
• Satellites including the ISS, with visible-pass style tracking
• Full deep-sky catalogue and fainter stars
• Night mode (red / green) and altitude–azimuth grids & constellation boundaries

Accuracy is never paywalled. Free or Pro, the same physics.

Built for people who actually go outside: dark-sky friendly, offline-first, and honest about what a phone magnetometer can and cannot do.

Privacy: the sky stays on your device. Optional anonymous usage analytics can be turned off in Settings.
