Description
SkyPointer is a simple but useful tool to show the position of sun, moon, the brightest planets, the International Space Station ISS, Hubble telescope, the chinese station Tiangong2 and other objects. All objects are visible to the unaided eye. With SkyPointer it is easy to find out the position of the sky objects at a specific time or a specific date.
For example you can easily find out the different solar altitudes between summer and winter.
SkyPointer does not need internet connection except for downloading orbit data for satellites triggered by yourself.

Observing aspects: The planets are visible as small light points. The brightest planets are Venus and Jupiter. Mars appears as small red dot. You can see the ring of Saturn with a good binocular. Mercury is hard to observe because it is very close to sun. Uranus appears not brighter than a normal star.
The ISS appears as bright point of light when sunlit. The ISS point moves much faster than a plane and is brighter than the brightest star.

I agree too. This IS one of the best apps I have seen and I've tried a few over the years. Not only is it easy to understand and easy to use it is totally accurate. Since I started using this app 6 months ago I have learned the position of all the listed planets, and I have even found a small and faint Uranus with it, I've watch Jupiter and Saturn for the past 3 months dance across our night skies and watched Venus disappear off our evening sky and do nearly a full revolution of the planet. I have discovered many of our constellations from Virgo through Sagittarius and and now know the position of a lot of the key Stars in the Southern Hemisphere and the most incredible of all I have seen our International Space Station fly across our night sky not once but three times so far. All I can say is well done Gerhard, a truly outstanding app among apps. Just a quick comment for Robert Bartusiak. If you find the app inaccurate check location of your device is set to high accuracy and calibrate Sky pointer as it simply shows. YOU are the ONLY negative comment among them all. Does that tell you something? Shame to see the rating of good work reduced due to someone's inability.
