Comments on SlingPlayer Free for Phone for Android

★★★★★ Good to have my slingbox back working. App seems very smooth so far. The guide is easier than the old remote interface.

★★★★★ Sad this app is closing down in 24 months. Another app I love where I just learned to use it efficiently. Another piece of hardware, just like Izon cameras that will become obsolete. I dislike buying stuff that needs a server to run where they can shut it down whenever they want.

★★★★★ Perfect all over the world. You need minimum 3mb internet in your remote location to have a good HD quality. I am in asia, my slinbox is in europe. SLINGPLAYER uses a virtual copy of my remote (100% similar design), never failed. I have it since more than 5 years.

★★★★★ Great app u use the sling box when I travel. Allows me to get local news and sports.

★★☆☆☆ Cannot open app...asks for permissions then crashes 100% of the time. I have had slingbox for years and it works fine on ipad but not at all on android. Frustrating!

★★☆☆☆ I used to love my slingplayer and app. I paid good money for this box. An first problem I am unable to stream to my chromecast keep getting an error message worked fine before now error everytime try. Tried multiple devices. Now I read that they are takin this away from us soon all together. Not cool

★★☆☆☆ Dish had decided to just stop supporting these devices no matter how much money we have in multiple units. I have 7 and two had to be reprogrammed but they will m not programs and yet they are newer m1 and m2s. There is no reason they can't keep these working as promised until 2022 November. I dump all my dish accounts too. They own this tech.

★★☆☆☆ App stopped controlling my sling Box. This rendered my swing Box useless. It may be end of life since Sling is closing their servers down
