SlotMagnet transforms shift planning into a familiar, hands-on experience inspired by a real magnetic whiteboard. Designed for community organizers, PTA leaders, and small nonprofits, it replaces paper sign-up sheets with a clean visual planner that lives right on your device. The Dashboard greets you with three large, hand-drawn numbers showing total slots, filled positions, and open opportunities at a glance. A single tap on the “New Slot” button instantly takes you to a simple form that captures the event title, role, volunteer name, and current status. Once saved, your new assignment appears as a colorful magnetic badge on the Board, grouped neatly under its event title. Each badge uses a raised bevel and a colored left border—red for open, green for filled, and grey for cancelled—so status is visible without reading tiny labels. On the Board, you can tap any badge to edit details or swipe horizontally across it to cycle its status through Open, Filled, and Cancelled with a playful marker-style note. The Search tab lets you quickly find assignments by typing a volunteer’s name, an event title, or a role, with matching terms highlighted right on the badge. Every create, update, delete, or status change is saved exclusively on your device, so you never need an internet connection, a login, or a cloud account. The entire interface sits on a polished whiteboard surface with faint grid lines and a slim metal frame, complete with four colored dry-erase marker pens that form the tab bar. Interactive touches respond with subtle marker squeaks and magnetic clicks, making the digital experience feel satisfying and immediate.
