For parents/guardians and students, the easy-to-use app allows users to quickly review any broadcast sent from the SchoolMessenger service (Phone/Email/SMS) in one place, manage your communication preferences and, optionally, Chat with teachers** or report absences.** Requires WIFI or data plan for internet access. Requires SchoolMessenger Communicate service subscription by the school or district.
Note:
SchoolMessenger Home is used for receiving SchoolMessenger Communicate messages sent by district or school personnel.

While I like the UI better than the old app, I'm still facing the same issue of repeatedly getting signed out. I wasn't aware of the 7-day timeout. I'll reevaluate to see if that's my issue.

Push notifications when tapped go to inbox that is completely empty. Other times the inbox has 50+ messages and is very slow Confused on which app I should use as there seems to be 2 in the play store. Installed the other and see all my messages there, so seeing if that works better.

There is no way to report an absence in this app. Their help section explains how to do it, but the app doesn't line up with their help instructions

Absolute garbage. The school wants us to report absences through the app, and the app doesn't work properly. This is nonsense.
