Description
Small Islands is a single-player turn-based strategy puzzle where you create small worlds from randomly generated sets of pieces, each with unique properties and scoring rules.
The game is heavily inspired by Tiny Islands by David King: https://dr-d-king.itch.io/tiny-islands
Rules:
Game objective is to build to the highest score. Each figure has unique scoring rules, which depend on the figures and the area around and in other parts of the board. The game alternates between phases: Figures and Shores. In the Figures phase, select one of the two random options with figures and board regions to place the figure in. After the nine figures are placed, the Shores phase begins. In the Shores phase, you draw the shore of an island on the water or the shore of a lake on the ground. A maximum of twenty-four shore segments can be used. The game ends after three shores are drawn.

Simple and fun! Love the small changes to the look of things lately. Once you get a handle on the rules and where things can be placed it becomes wonderfully addicting and strategic! Would love to see a "Daily" draw that is the same for everyone that way I can compete with friends for a high score. Keep it up!

I already played Tiny Islands on itch.io, this version is optimized for smartphones. Simple puzzle game that challenges you to make the best out of a random set of options. Very low stakes and no leaderboards or any kind of currencies to challenge you with.

Love the looks, but I have absolutely no idea what is going on. There doesn't seem to be a way to control what is happening. I'm sure it's a lot of fun for the developers since they know how it works, but it would be nice to have a few clues as to how to play. There is one page that shows the scoring of the game. Edit: The developer has added a second page of instructions, but it's still just defining terms. There is still no explanation of how to place pieces or what to do.
