Strict, frustrating app with annoying and infuriating core problem that if you need a new phone you must schedule a visit to your bank branch so that they get your smartid working on your new phone. The lack of 'smart' features (ironic isn't it), like strict device binding and no cloud backup make this app stupid and biggest hassle of your life, I hate it. And Europe strict laws (eiDAS) are at fault for this. They could atlest make it more consumer friendly.

Good alternative to Mobilized. Here are some pointers to make it better: - cannot use Mobilized or another Smart ID to set it up on a new device - often webpage jumpd straight to the point where you have to pick a number out of 3. But you did not see the number, it was not shown - many pages, like state services, state that Smart ID is supported but in reality it does not work - many services like Partner Kaart App or Maxima App have no option to verify age with Smart ID during the shopping

It's difficult to keep up with all the new demands, especially if you don't live permanently in Estonia. e.g. if you have pre NFC ID card and have no possibility to go to estonian bank it becomes impossible to renew your smart ID.

My Estonian card has no working NFC, so neither contactless nor biometric registration works, I have no other Baltic document, and I'm outside Estonia, which rules out a bank office visit. Card reader registration covered exactly this case until you removed it -- so what path is actually left?

You're blocking Graphene OS via Play Integrity, but it's actually more secure than what you allow. Graphene OS is a hardened Android OS with verified boot, a hardened memory allocator, full exploit mitigations. It doesn't weaken the standard Android security model — it strengthens it. You can use the hardware key attestation API to verify the OS identity and permit Graphene OS alongside GMS-licensed OSes, just like you do with Play Integrity today.
