★★★★★ Excellent help from Della solving a minor Alexa glitch.

★★☆☆☆ It appears that Smith and Noble have finally decided to do something about their HORRIBLE Smart Hub experience with a new app (yay) but it also appears they have completely abandoned owners of their previous version hub. While this app does not complain when trying to pair with a "NEO-BOX-SN" hub (the gray, square box) it just doesn't seem to work. I would not buy tech from this company... they don't seem to know what they are doing and definitely have a history of abandoning their users when things don't work. Their shades are lovely, but their tech is the worst. Look at reviews of their prior app to get a sense of what they want you to forget existed. The only way to fix this would be for them to completely replace the old app, support old devices with a firmware upgrade, and make the app first class. Having worked in tech, this feels very much like someone in management made the decision to abandon the old users and didn't fund/staff the new system at the appropriate level. Start by firing the managers.

★★☆☆☆ I'm very disappointed. We bought the shades 100% to use with Alexa. It seems they have VERY limited functionality. DO NOT BUY THESE SHADES. There is no way to say start opening shade and stop at various positions. That's possible with a handheld remote but not with the Alexa App. This makes the shades almost useless with Alexa. I'm a programmer and expect I could update an app myself, but they refused to let me talk directly with the programmer to discuss possibilities.
