Excellent. I can select the groove design with less welding consumable requirement. The various welding groove design parameters effect on the weld deposition immediately reflect on all calculation. The relative comparison is very easy which take lot of times earlier. Now quick and easy with this. Initially it may take time understand since concept was based of simulation/modeling of weld groove. So a minor change can be predicted with this app.

In principle it is very good. However, you cannot "zoom in" on the very small pictures, and the calculator layout is cramped and complicated. I think it is a lot easier just to remember the density of the metal, and do basic pencil and paper volume calculations ( Fillet weld = (W x H X l ) / 2 = V x G cm2 )) on a note pad, to figure out the weight in Kg of weld metal.

The idea of this app is an awesome idea but as a practice it is not practical. Standard as well as metric is what would make this app very very very very very very useful.
