You need this I really don't think the low rating people understand this app. It is an incredibile tool for keeping track of, finding, and keeping up with everyone you have ever contacted via phone, SMS, email (assuming your mail goes to your phone or you have the main XOBNI service). Evernote is trying to emulate this and, so far, is falling a little short. Microsoft is trying to emulate this (in Outlook....not so much on phones), and, so far, is falling short. I have about 1000 contacts in my phone. SMARTR immediately finds about 7,000 contacts and hooks me up with all of them with them within a few minutes of installation. Suggestion for improvement: make adding a contact (including additional contact information from Facebook, LinkedIn, or wherever) a one-click exercise on the phone.

woah everyone I need After installing the app, I found thousands of contacts I had no idea I needed until I realized how important these were to me. Search is great and makes finding my contacts easy. I love the details for each contact, particularly the common and history information.. It's amazing to see how you know someone even if you don't think you do.. but actually do. Great app! I've replaced my old address book with this.

Not smartr enough After loading all my contacts from google it created one contact for every email address, meaning people show up multiple times. How is that helpful. Waste of time.

Uninstalled Great concept but why do I have people I contact every day at the bottom of my top 200 and people I never contact in my top 10. Why can't I add people to my top 10 manually? Why can't I delete contacts and have the changes sync? Not ready for prime time...

Not compatible with 2-factor authentication I use 2-factor authentication with my Google account and unfortunately Smartr's authentication system doesn't take that into account. I.e. I: 1. Try to add my Gmail account to Smarter, which then redirects me to the Google sign-in page on my phone. 2. I sign in, but then receive the page to enter in my security page. 3. Now, the security code has to be generated by a different app...on my phone. I.e. in order to get the security code that Smartr needs to log me into my Google account....I have to leave the Smartr app. 4. I get the security code. 5. I reenter the Smartr app, but Smartr has now reset the entire process. By the time I get to the security code page, my code has changed.... Smartr should just be able to use the Google cookie on my phone to direct me to the app authorization page instead of making me login to Google through the app. While my experience is limited to Google's 2-factor authentication, the steps would be very similar for any other services which utilize 2-factor authentication.

Won't let me connect my account Have gmail, no problems. Smartr just keeps saying that username and password do not match
