SmokeGuard - Hide Your Screen

Someone nearby? Cover your screen in a moment.

On the train, at a cafe, or whenever someone gets close, SmokeGuard lets you place a cover over the screen without switching away from the app you're using.

Cover your screen with a hand gesture
Move your hand near your device's sensors to show or remove the cover. Choose between keeping the cover on only while your hand is near the sensors and toggling it with each gesture. You can also use a floating button or notification controls.

Choose the area to cover
Cover the whole screen or just an area you select. Adjust the position and size to match the part you want to hide.

Pick your preferred look
Choose gray, a frosted-glass-style pattern, black, or a custom solid color. Selected styles also let you adjust opacity. Clock and weather screens are additional cover options.

Check a small area with PEAK
Press and hold to open a small viewing window away from your finger. The window follows your finger, with adjustable size, shape, and distance.
Use a small button to switch between PEAK priority for viewing and touch priority for tapping or swiping in the underlying app. PEAK can also be enabled or disabled in settings.

Remove the cover with a small indicator
A small indicator appears in the upper-right corner while the cover is active. Tap it to remove the cover.

SmokeGuard works without capturing or recording your screen. No account is required.

Permission to display over other apps is required. Sensor availability and response vary by device. Live weather forecasts require an internet connection.
