★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work, at least not on my Android 6.0.1. It says it deleted the messages successfully, but doesn't actually do anything. The same messages are still there. I think KitKat added a O/S protection for this, and the developer has not yet added the workaround. Checkout "SMS Search and Delete" app instead. It has issues with thousands of messages, but at least sometimes works.

★★☆☆☆ Did not delete Says that there messages were deleted. Did it work? Well, let's check. *opens hangouts and then a thread* nope all my messages are still there. Bad app. But it does not need to be a default text messaging app for it to work, that's a plus.
