Snake Classic: Mazes & Daily

Snake Classic is the block Snake you remember, drawn like an old handheld screen, with calm defaults and big controls.

HOW TO PLAY

Steer the snake to the food block and it grows by one.
Swipe on the board, or tap the large arrow pad under it, to turn.
The snake cannot turn straight back on itself.
Run into a wall or your own tail and the run is over.
Moving into the square your tail is just leaving is safe, exactly as it should be.
Fill every free space and the run ends as a Perfect board.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

Classic puts a wall round the edge.
Endless has no edge at all, so you leave one side and come back on the other.
Mazes gives you five hand-drawn layouts with walls inside.
The first maze is open from the start, and scoring 30 on a maze opens the next.

PICK YOUR PACE

Slow, Normal and Fast, and the faster you play the more each food is worth.
Slow is the default.
If you want the classic squeeze, turn on Speed up as the snake grows.

BUILT FOR COMFORTABLE PLAY

The arrow buttons are large, and a turn lands the moment your thumb touches.
Two quick turns in a row are both kept, so you can dodge round a corner.
Every start and every resume counts down 3, 2, 1, so you are never caught out.
The game pauses by itself when you leave the app or take a call, and your run is saved.
Come back and Home offers to Continue the run.
When a run ends, the last frame holds for a moment so you can see what happened.
Portrait only, so the board never shrinks sideways on you.

A DAILY RUN

Every day there is one Daily Run, the same board and the same food for everyone, worked out offline from the date alone.
It can be any of the seven boards, even a maze you have not opened yet.
Play it on days in a row to build a streak.
Your highest scores, your longest snake and your streak are kept on your device and nowhere else.

ONE MORE GO

After a crash you can watch a short ad to Continue that same run once.
The snake goes back three moves and counts down, so you have room to turn away.
One Continue per run, and the app asks you before that ad plays.

One purchase, kept forever, no subscription and no renewals.
It removes every ad in the app.
It unlocks the Neon Night and Garden themes, each with its own board, snake and food colours.
It lets you Continue a run without watching an ad, still once per run.

The game works with no internet connection at all.
There is no account, no sign-in, and no profile.
Your scores never leave your phone.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, which is why the app declares ads in the Data safety section.

Snake has been played on computers and handhelds since the arcades of the 1970s, and the idea has never needed changing.
Eat, grow, and do not run into yourself.
This version keeps that idea, adds mazes and a daily board, and takes away anything that rushes you.

Recent changes:
First release. Classic block Snake on a retro handheld-style board, fully offline. Three ways to play: Classic with walls, Endless with wrap-around, and five Mazes that open as you score. Slow, Normal and Fast, with Slow as the default. Swipe or use the large arrow pad. A Daily Run gives everyone the same board each day, with a streak. Your run is saved if you leave, and every start counts down 3, 2, 1.
