As if flying wasn't fun & exciting enough, Social Flight makes it even more rewarding! I challenge myself to be in the top 30 every month, which naturally means I have to fly a lot, to a lot of different fields. That further helps keep me proficient. I love the $100 hamburger button, and the restaurants on/near the fields are linked to their Yelp! Reviews. That makes it easy to select new restaurants to try. And speaking of rewarding, you get a great chance to win amazing gear for your plane or flight bag, just by doing what you're doing anyway, flying! These aren't cheap little bags, they've partnered with some amazing sponsors. I recently won a Light speed Zulu 3. In the 1.5 years I've been using the app, I've seen prizes ranging from $700 value on the low side to $5k on the high end. For me, it's a fun way to challenge yourself and friends, and possibly win some very exciting gear while doing so. Check it out, and look for me in the top 30.

Great app! It's become my go-to app for aviation events and locations. I'm not having the issues others are reporting. Maybe the latest update fixed them. Hasn't crashed yet or changed battery life that I can tell.

I have a 1988 Tammany pl2, and I enjoy the app except for Canadian content which is almost none unless it is Vancouver International Airport, but it won't show you anything about Calgary International Airport, which is one of the major hubs in Canada, let alone any of the other smaller airports that have scheduled service but no information pops up

MISERABLE APP!!! Updates just make it even worse. Toss it out and start all over. The map mode is awful. Search filters don't work. Half the event listings are commercial promotions. Limited info, and "linked" websites display only in windows within the app. Eventually deleted the app, but app emailed event listing links won't work mobile devices, redirecting instead to App/Play Store to install the app. This service was a good idea hobbled by one of the worst apps ever written.

With all app notifications enabled, I get a notification in excess of once per minute saying "You have 0 points in the FLY2WIN Challenge!" I navigated to the Challenge section and unchecked "Check-in Notifications," but I continue to receive this same popup at a ridiculous rate. This is a serious bug that is only seemingly fixed by disabling ALL app notifications in Android. I would love to have other notifications, like when fly-ins are scheduled within X miles of my home airport.

This ap requires location services. This is never acceptable. An ap is welcome to ask for my device location, but when I decline with this ap, the ap doesn't work at all. What makes you think my location has anything to do with what I want to search for, especially in something as location-fluid as aviation? Is this really just about harvesting data that you can sell?
