I'm trying it and love that I can open, save, and edit an Excel spreadsheet and all my formatting is there, but it is not easy to open a XLSX file directly into this app. I have to go into my documents folder app, click on file, open WITH Office NX, but then when I save changes, it doesn't put it back in the folder that I want it in. I'll keep playing with it. So far no ads. If paid version lets me save where I want it and open directly, I'll consider. But I have a ton of files!
This isn't perfect. It doesn't have some features that google or microsoft give you like drive access, and android's file system sucks, so it sucks sometimes to find the files I want to open.... but for me with my spreadsheets, or for writing, they work well enough. Its free and doesn't give me problems. Fewer features, buuut you need something basic, Plan maker, their Presentations app or their text maker app just kinda work.
I use it on Desktop - very good. UPD: Aug 2025: HOwever, on Android things like SUM do not work when setting up a spreadsheetxfrom scratch....?????
I do not need this app to have access to ALL files. It does not need access to ALL files. ALL files should not be a starting minimum. Security Nightmare and a hard pass for anyone who understands basic security. Uninstalled immediately.
Why does it need such comprehensive access. Including to external devices & usb storage.
