SongoAI Chord Finder

SongoAI is a personal creative code project made as a handy reference tool for songwriting and finding chords that work in a given musical key.

The circular 'Chord Ring' shows the 7 chords derived from the major scale in the current key. You can swipe left/right to change keys in the cycle of 4ths and 5ths.

The AI melody maker in the top half of the screen is a simple tool for generating short melodic phrases with accompanying chords. It uses OpenAI's natural language model in the background to create melodic ideas that can be saved to one of the five melody channels.
You can describe the idea you want using a short phrase, eg - "a happy melody in the key of G!".

- long-press number buttons to save a melody
- short-press to select the saved melody

You can tweak the AI model by adjusting the temperature and length sliders in settings. Warning! it sometimes has a mind of its own.

Feedback is welcome, especially if you find any wrong notes... I never quite finished music school.

SongAI is a re-imagination of the famous Songo Chord Finder for Android. The original utilitarian chord-finding tool for songwriters is now at the heart of a new AI chord/melody system that plays through its unique 7-chord, 12-key cyclic ring structure... it's alive!
