Description
Sort Squad is a calm sorting game for children aged about 6 to 8.
One thing appears at a time. Your child taps the bin where it belongs. That is the whole game, and it is enough: the reward comes from getting it right and hearing the game say so.
HOW IT PLAYS
Six levels rotate three ways of sorting, and they keep cycling so play never dead-ends:
- By colour: red, blue and yellow, with green joining later - By shape: circle, square and triangle, with stars joining later - By what a thing is: animals, things that go, and food
Each round is eight items, shown as a row of stars that fills as your child works. The game gets wider rather than faster. A fourth bin appears, a new shape appears, the rule changes. Nothing ever speeds up.
NOTHING TO LOSE
There is no timer, no score to protect, and no way to fail. A wrong tap gives a soft wobble and a warm "try again", and the same item waits patiently. Miss the same item twice and the correct bin starts pulsing until your child spots it. The game gets more helpful the more a child struggles, never less.
SPOKEN THROUGHOUT
Every picture item says its name aloud while the word is shown on screen, so a child learning to read hears it and sees it together. Praise, encouragement and every instruction are spoken too, so a child who cannot yet read the screen can still play on their own.
