SOS Alert is an emergency app which helps you out whenever your safety is at risk by reaching out to your emergency contacts and providing them with your current location.
FEATURES *********** 1. No Ads 2. Very basic user interface and easy to use 3. Dark theme 4. In case of an emergency, a link of your current location on Google Maps is sent to your emergency contacts so that they can locate you accurately 5. The Emergency Contacts and the SOS Message are stored locally on your device, therefore no one other than you have access to it 6. You can edit the SOS Message and add other useful information about yourself 7. SOS Widget for sending SOS Alert in just one tap
HOW DOES IT WORK? *********************** 1. Whenever you are in an emergency, you need to press the SOS Widget or the SOS button in the app 2. As soon as you press the button/widget, a countdown of 3 seconds starts immediately (you can cancel the SOS Alert if you want to, before the countdown ends) 3. When the countdown ends, the app fetches your location from the GPS on your device and sends (through SMS) your location along with your SOS Message (which is pre-saved on your device) to the emergency contacts that you have registered in the app 4. The registered emergency contacts receive your SOS Message and a link of your current location as an SMS from your mobile number

The app is overall great, but the location isn't as accurate as it needs to be in an emergency. Plus, it needs to allow more characters in the message, and it needs a separate section to list your medications and conditions so that rescue will already have it when they arrive.

Really comforting to have, just set this up as I'm going through some unknown medical issues. Accidentally activated and ems response was prompt. While it was an accidental Activation as I was setting it up it showed me this actually does work. And when I'm having an episode I can't usually speak. So the text blast containing live location and my medical info to 911 is incredibly useful. Thanks sos alert

It sends GPS and SOS with one touch to contacts you enter. I have had this app for 4 years. I have had to use it a handful of times. It serves its purpose without fault. I've added it to all my kids and wife's phones. To the creator of this app I Thank you.

Yesterday, during an emergency, my network suddenly dropped, and I was unable to call or message my family. I tried using the SOS feature, but it also failed because there was no network. What is the purpose of an SOS feature if it cannot work when there is no signal? Emergencies can happen in remote or no-network areas, especially when someone is alone or unsafe. Please consider satellite/offline emergency communication or at least a basic SOS alert that can be sent once connectivity is restored

I would rate the app 0, before and after turning on the gps on both sending and receiving phones. When I click on the emergency message recived coordinates, then nothing happens. No location is found
