On my new S23 recordings default to a subfolder in my music folder, a ridiculous place to store "not music". I created a new folder (called "Voice recordings") directly in my internal storage. The app cannot see it. It can only see audio folders for other things, like ringtones, podcasts, alarms, etc. You ever have your music playing on random and have it interrupted by a recording of your mileage, or a shopping list? Or try out an alarm only to find its last week's to-do list? Stupid.
