Description
Sound You Can See!
Sound View is a high-performance Audio Spectrum Analyzer that turns your device into a professional-grade acoustic tool. Whether you are a sound engineer, a music student, or a hobbyist interested in acoustics, Sound View allows you to visualize and analyze sound captured from your built-in or external microphone.
Real-Time Visual Analysis See exactly what you hear. Sound View provides a dual-pane interface:
Spectrum View (Top): Displays frequency strength via intuitive bars.
Waveform View (Bottom): Shows the raw input signal in real-time.
High-Resolution Performance Unlock the full potential of your hardware. Sound View supports frequency ranges from 0Hz up to 96kHz (depending on device capabilities). With sample rates doubling your frequency range (e.g., 48,000 samples/sec for 24,000Hz analysis), you get precision data that goes well beyond the limits of human hearing.
Deep-Dive Navigation Freeze & Analyze: Tap once to freeze the display. This allows you to study a specific moment in time without losing the data.
Precision Zoom: Use the Levels menu to adjust vertical and horizontal magnification for both spectrum and waveform views.
Swipe to Explore: Zoom in and swipe across the spectrum to pinpoint specific frequency ranges.
Full-Screen Focus: Double-tap either the spectrum or the waveform to expand it to full-screen mode.
Professional Decibel Meter Track signal strength with the integrated dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level) meter. The app tracks and displays your minimum and maximum decibel levels—perfect for monitoring ambient noise or calibrating equipment. Reset your peaks at any time with a single tap.
Key Features: Dual Display: Simultaneous Spectrum and Waveform visualization.
High Sample Rates: Supports up to 96k (hardware dependent).
Flexible Orientation: Full support for Portrait and Landscape modes.
External Mic Support: Compatible with built-in and external microphones.
Recent changes: One screen tap now freezes the display, and shows control buttons. One more tap resumes display, and hides control buttons. Added Minimum and Maximum Decibel Levels to Display. Added reset button for Decibel Meter Levels. Minor Performance and Graphic Tweaks.

Great for checking high frequency sound device and low frequency sound device

Cool But... It's cool but when I go to the bar spectrum sometimes it won't record the sound, I don't know if it is my phone or some kind of bug

Why the low rating? This is what they should all be! I just needed something that gave 1000s of bars, full range, but also worked on external mic. This one does it all. Using to help me post-prod mix in the studio. It helps me know what sounds need filtered where to make the muddiness go away. Just wish there were a way to turn the fft wave off. I only need to see bands. Still, half screen is bettet than the rest!

The frequency axis needs to have a LOG mode option.

It shows 20Hz off the scale while anything above 120Hz has nothing! Just got done using SOUND ANALYZER APP and got stellar results, I was able to flatten my response from my Martin Logan Prodigy speakers in about 3 minutes. Seems to be the only free analyzer app that actually works and plots accurately. All bands line up with my dual 31 band EQ, an external test tone is required, but they're free in tone generator apps. I used 2 devices to make it easier.
