Sound Hound is back! It struggled with a lack of updates and failed connectivity for a couple of years, but the most recent update has it working for me again, nice and fast! With this and a couple other song recognition apps to cross-check, I can usually get a solid ID on whatever is coming over the speakers or sung from my earworms.

This isn't a "Dead App". I just used it, and while it isn't intuitive anymore, it still finds songs. If it says ahh 💩, it means it didn't find the song. If it goes to the seach screen, look in your history. It's there. You people are just too lazy to look for it. Why is it that people aren't smart enough to investigate a little further before giving up? Probably because they allow their devices to do all the thinking for them and gave up on thinking skills.

UPDATE 2026 3yrs later from this review the paid version still fails to recognize even the most popular songs DO NOT BUY. As you can see with all the justifiably negative reviews there is no replies from developers. ORIGINAL REVIEW 2023 Doesn't recognize anything, and I have the paid version. It used to recognize songs unbelievably fast. Didn't use it for about 2 years, and now it's very slow and fails recognize more songs than it identifies. Very disappointed in this once great app. Please fix

Bought this app years ago because it is an awesome app. But for the last 3 or so years, it became buggy. I notified the developers about it, but they don't care anymore. The playlist goes missing, doesn't recognize songs anymore. Really sad. I've been using Sound hound since the days it used to tell you what music ppl around you, we're listening too. That was a great feature. Anyway, don't waste money on this app, not worth it anymore.
