In Speak Japanese Like Parrot, the words are pronounced with almost the same accent used by Japanese using the TEXT TO SPEECH function. Please listen to the read words and pronounce as you think it is heard. Then, Speak Japanese Like Parrot hears your pronounced words by its VOICE RECOGNITION function. If the VOICE RECOGNITION recognizes the words you have pronounced and those the TEXT TO SPEECH has pronounced are the same, you will be judged to have pronounced the words successfully as Japanese pronounce them.
I got all A’s in English when I was at school, but I had many experiences of hardship in understanding such simple phrases by listening as “what is the (reservation) date?”, “you can pass through”, and “the price of the merchandise is 12 dollars” when I actually travelled in the countries of the English-speaking regions of the world.
