It was a little tricky to make the app work on my Nubia Z50 Ultra. To keep the app from stopping, I had to disable "Developer options - Suspend execution for cached apps". Unfortunately, the app does not play nice with Pocket Casts. It makes a spurious notification when you start/stop playback in Pocket Casts.

I've missed some really important text messages because my earbuds were plugged into my phone, but I wasn't listening to them, so I didn't hear the notification sound. That was really sad! But now the great thing about this app is it plays text messages and email notifications on the phone speaker no matter what listening devices are connected to my phone! Yay! The app is simple, and it works reliably, so you don't have to worry about ever missing anything if you leave your earbuds connected.

Works well for some notifications. Solved this long-standing bug that Google hasn't fixed for me for the typical application. But unfortunately I found it doesn't work for the app Ops Genie for some reason. I've tried a few settings changes there with no luck. Is there some setting configuration which may fix this? One other thing I noticed was that it did not seem to work immediately after installing while I had a Bluetooth device connected until I turned Bluetooth on/off. Not sure if this is the typical experience but thought the dev team might want to know!

Unfortunately, the app simply doesn't work as advertised on my stock Pixel device. I have it set to play notifications on the device speaker for only SMS, but I get barraged by tons of notifications unrelated to SMS, such as for every single email that arrives (I don't even have notification sounds enabled for email notifications). I have re-installed the app a few times with no change. I have reached out to the developer and, though I receive nice replies, there is no fix for the app's behavior
